Sometimes needy needs a break

Sometimes there's just so much work going on it's difficult to know where to begin a blog entry. The baptism luncheon is finished and the guests have all retired to their respective corners of the globe. The house sits here looking at us with needy eyes. "Poor me...you haven't worked on me for three whole days!" or some such overly needy statement.

We've all had friends, lovers or family members like this. The more we give the more they need. They take and take and take until someone, (usually your mother because that's her job right) steps in and says with a bit too much drama "this person is draining you...please realize that they are killing you slowly!" Well, if houses were people, and sometimes they seem that way, we'd be dealing with the "life sucker" The one who dominates all of your time, calls you all the time, complains about relationships, "my previous owners never really loved me and that's what gave me my low self esteem to begin with," and forces you to put in a kitchen sink only to replace it by another two weeks later.

Needy and greedy but well loved nonetheless.

My house is definitely a life sucker. I guess we should just feel sorry for them and try to build up their self-esteem.
