Shopping together

We visited Lowe's together today. Seb was just as smitten as I was by this charming little slice of paradise. We gazed at faucets and held hands in the paint aisle where they actually give you paint samples, "yes, those are free honey," I excitedly explained. We were smitten by the double wide, stainless fridge selections and I caressed several brand new, reasonably priced dishwashers, thinking back to the news from Seb that our highly overpriced used dishwasher at home doesn't even work now that we are actually able to install it. We will just have to pitch it and chalk up that one to experience. Buy new next time.

I think we will be buying some faucets for our bath while here. We also think we may like to buy an oversized shower head for our bathroom. It's all more reasonable and we find the selection is better. Those suitcases are really going to be heavy!

Make sure you buy all the threaded connections here too because they won't be metric and you may not be able to hook them up over there in France.

Thanks for the matching up tips Gary. We'll check it out before buying. Could be an expensive mistake. Jocelyn I think that it's all probably more to do with a crappy, overpriced European economy than a tanking dollar. It's always been a little cheaper on this side of the Atlantic (US side). I never appreciated this until I had a baby and started renovating in Europe. Yikes!

Thanks jm I'll check that edition out...uh err try to at least.
