Christmas by the Fire

We have this fantasy that by Christmas we will have a cozy nook to curl up next to, enjoying the glow of the light dancing on the walls. We've chosen the fireplace and talked to the installer about when he can come. He says "November, no problem," but we haven't had a return phone call in over a week. We have our fingers crossed which is about all we can do. Well we can do that and continue to hound him (but not enough to make him angry with us, thus having the opposite effect). Meanwhile I've got a whole cupboard full of chestnuts waiting.
